The Ultimate Guide to BulimbaSeptember 2020 – Style Magazine

As one of the very few female diamond wholesalers and retailers in a male dominated industry, Shweta Khan truly knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Fuelled by her sheer determination to be different, the founder and designer of Starfire Diamond Jewellery carefully crafts each piece of jewellery in her unique collection, with no two diamonds alike. Whether you’re looking for an engagement ring, wedding band, push present or anniversary gift, the impressive team of diamond experts, gemologists and jewellers understand the significance of the purchase and will always rise to the occasion.

The beautiful jewellery showcased in every cabinet throughout the space are one-off designs, with gorgeous interpretations on current trends, including the most popular cut for engagement rings – oval diamonds. While the exquisite showroom is renowned for making all of its visitors feel desired and special, the same outstanding experience can now be found online. With digital consultations and stunning videography, the reinvention of their e-commerce website means you can be empowered with the rare and inimitable characteristics of diamonds without leaving your home.

Starfire’s Shweta KhanJune 2020 – F Magazine

While a kiss on the hand may be quite continental (according to Marilyn Monroe, at least), diamonds truly are Shweta Khan’s best friend. Born in India and having made her home in Australia, Shweta Khan has spent years of dedicated work in the diamond business.

Shweta’s work ethic and high standard of professionalism is a result of more than 20 years of experience in grading, sorting and managing a jewellery enterprise, as well as a personal passion for beautiful and unique jewellery. It was through this balance of personal drive and professional expertise that she created Starfire Diamond Jewellery, located in the popular Oxford Street shopping strip at Bulimba in Brisbane.

Shweta’s jewels run the gamut, offering a vast array of splendid pieces, many of which are reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. One would also be able to find more stated and simple works, and if nothing is quite right for you, Shweta offers expert custom creations as well. It is apparent that education is very important to Shweta, as just a cursory glance at Starfire Diamond Jewellery’s website reveals an education section, listing comprehensive articles about all the facets of diamond characteristics, metals and expert advice.

Bridal Shoot at Fort LyttonJune 2020 – Poppy and Sage Photography

A shoot that took place exactly one year ago (to the day) was the source of inspiration for this shoot. One year ago, Emunah Events and Poppy & Sage Photography teamed up to create a crisp white & green-inspired bridal at Fort Lytton National Park.

The jewellery pieces chosen for this shoot by Starfire Diamond Jewellery reflected our stunning bridal muse and accented the fiery sunset skies of the late afternoon. The first collection of jewellery featured SDJ's striking Graceful diamond pendant, delicate Blossom earrings and a selection of diamond bands that complemented our gorgeous Love Goddess engagement ring. Together these pieces emulated an understated, yet feminine and graceful, look. The second collection of jewellery included SDJ's iconic morganite and diamond ring, an elegant pearl strand and their signature Persian Queen diamond earrings with pearl droplets. This look was empowering and strong; it intensified the refined gown and bouquet. Finally, as the sky deepened in colour and drama, the final engagement ring look included SDJ's shimmering Blue Sky aquamarine ring with matching diamond bands. It shone on the finger, capturing the dramatic skies and beauty of the bride.

Shweta Khan | Founder and director, Starfire Diamond JewelleryEvery diamond has its own unique print and, likewise, Shweta creates the pieces that other jewellers wouldn’t dare to make. The tax accountant turned diamond extraordinaire is the epitome of the modern woman who juggles motherhood, family life and an exceptional business. Her brand, Starfire Diamond Jewellery, is elite in its distinctive designs and watching a client admire her custom-made pieces while saying, “Other jewellers didn’t think it was possible,” is a norm. Shweta’s latest collection, Empowerment, boasts statement rings embedded with various gemstones that will infuse you with the energy you need. Her 2020 will also be spent contributing to her charity, Givehope Foundation, in honour of her brother. “My brother was a loving soul who wanted to help others that are suffering,” she says. “So, our charity supports anyone who is in need.”
