Yes, you can buy the stone and let your partner choose a ring later. We suggest this is the best way to do so if you are not entirely sure what design your partner would like. We supply the diamond in a beautiful presentation box, and you can come in together after the proposal to choose the engagement ring design.

At Starfire, our goal is to ensure that you are delighted with your engagement ring. However, we understand that it is difficult to imagine what your custom designed engagement ring will look like. We also recognise that changes may be required along the way to achieve your dream ring. For this reason, we allow you to make small changes to the design before we set any stones without incurring additional fees. Several alterations are included in our services, such as changing the finger size or reducing the width of the band. However, if the changes are significant, you may incur additional fees. Starfire Diamond jewellery prides itself on the high quality of our materials and the standard of craft that goes into hand-making your custom engagement ring. All our jewellery comes with a lifetime guarantee against faults in materials and workmanship to reflect our high standards. To ensure your jewellery and stones are securely set, you must bring your piece of jewellery for an annual check. This is a free service and is included in all purchases. However, this guarantee is void if it has been more than 18 months since your last check. The guarantee covers defects caused by faulty materials or workmanship. However, our guarantee does not cover defects related to wear and tear, scratches, neglect, misuse or any loss of ring or precious stones from the ring. If the ring has been modified or repaired by someone other than Starfire, this guarantee is also void. Engagement rings not made by us are not covered by the guarantee. If there are any problems whatsoever please inform us and bring your ring back to the boutique as soon as possible for an inspection. Rings that are covered by the guarantee will be repaired free of charge, and rings that are not covered will receive a quote for repair.

At Starfire Diamond Jewellery, we aim to get the finger size right at the time of purchase. However, in the unlikely event that we don't, please bring back the ring within four weeks for a free re-size. Any re-sizing outside of this time frame will incur a charge. No. With the wedding ring experience, you are not limited to plain wedding bands. If you would like extra features such as engraving, diamonds or coloured gemstones in your rings, one of our jewellers will complete these features after you have finished making the wedding bands. You will make the actual rings yourselves, and it is only the design features that the jeweller will complete for you. If the ring needs to be fitted to your engagement ring, the jeweller will complete this after your appointment.

We guarantee that your rings will look beautiful and professional, just as if one of our jewellers created them for you.

We recommend you make your rings at least a couple of months before your wedding to leave plenty of time for us to complete any follow-up work such as sitting diamonds or engravings. It usually takes 3 to 4 weeks but can be completed faster if there is a deadline to meet. This way, you also don't have to worry about the rings as you get closer to your special day. If you just create plain rings without extra features, you can take them with you on the day of your experience.

It takes about four hours to make a pair of wedding rings. If you create plain rings, you're able to take them with you on the day of your experience.

Yes, you make the rings yourselves, but you will have a jeweller by your side to guide you through the process. This experience has been set up to allow you to be a part of the entire process of creating your bands. However, if there is any aspect you do not want to do, your jeweller is there to help.

No, this is a special activity for each individual couple. Each couple has their own dedicated jeweller for the length of the appointment.

The wedding ring experience includes a light lunch, champagne, photos of your experience together and a lifetime of annual polishing to keep your rings in sparkling condition.

For an obligation-free design consultation, no payment is required. If you decide to go ahead and book an appointment for your experience, we ask for a $300 deposit to confirm your booking. The full balance is payable on the day of your experience. For cancellations a month in advance, this deposit is fully refundable; however, within the month of your booking is forfeited.
